What is ELITONE?

I love Elitone and recommend it to my all my patients.  1 in 3 women suffer from urinary incontinence and feel that it negatively impacts their quality of life, daily activities, as well as intimacy.

ELITONE is the first FDA-cleared, external neuromodulation, treatment that can be used at home , for both stress and urge incontinence.

STRESS Incontinence occurs due to aging, menopause, and childbirth. The pelvic floor muscles and support structures for the bladder and urethra become lax and weaken. Muscle training exercises (Kegels) are effective, but after delivering babies, it’s harder for women to engage these muscles properly. I personally love Elitone because it can be used “on the go”. You do not need to lay down,  be still, or insert anything  vaginally!

URGE Incontinence, otherwise known as overactive bladder, occurs due to heightened bladder nerve activity.  Patients with urge incontinence feel the continual need to rush to the toilet. Elitone is the first FDA cleared, “at home” treatment for urge incontinence.

Why choose ELITONE?

ELITONE was designed with a woman’s needs and lifestyle in mind. It’s easy to use, convenient, and does not limit or interfere with daily activities. What good are vaginal devices that sit in your drawer? What good are physical therapy appointments if you can’t take time off work? And what good are medications that cause side effects and that can’t be tolerated? Here’s why Elitone:

Easy-to-Use – No training required. Use anywhere, anytime, while doing other tasks.
Nothing Inserted Vaginally– Unlike other pelvic floor therapies, the ELITONE is applied externally, and can be worn under clothes, during daily activities. It’s convenient, non-intrusive, and easy to use.
Effective –95% of women experience greater than 70% reduction in leaks after only 6 weeks of use.

How it works?

For stress incontinence, ELITONE® stimulates the pelvic floor muscles to contract. For urge incontinence, Elitone relaxes the bladder muscles.

Is ELITONE painful?

NO

Are there any side effects of ELITONE?

There are no side effects, risks, or downtime. Some women may experience skin irritation from the gel pads.

Who is a good candidate for ELITONE?

ELITONE should not be used in patients with pacemakers, hip implants or metal IUDs.
